Electrical charging stations in UK. Home EV charging for people with street parking

Kerbo Charge is a UK startup allowing public and private housings to share their EV chargers on their open parkings with anyone.

Owners can set their tariff, track payments and income. Users can see a map of all chargers in the area, plugin and start charging.

The app features user, owner and admin dashboards. Alongside the application team Kerbo installs their own charging stations as well as links their app to any other EV charger.

Our goal:

Build a software for charging stations in London and suburbs that allows owners to share put their charging device on the map and allow others to use it when it’s free.

Client had both the hardware (EV chargers) and actual charger software, so our focus was to build an app that would allow clients to user chargers and track their sessions, incomes and control the availability of chargers.

Our process:

During the 4 month development process we’ve worked closely with the client’s technical co-founder who has built the software for EV stations to integrate it smoothly into our application.

We’ve analysed close competitors and similar applications, coming up with a clean and proper UX based on the client’s brand guidelines.

During the whole collaboration period we’ve developed a web and mobile app that was launched in 2023 and got it’s traction shortly after. The app is now on it’s next round of investment and will proceed with development shortly after to expand the network.

Result:

After 4 months of development we’ve launched the app and Kerbo team has installed a number of chargers for the test run. The project was successfully completed and delivered in time as a web and mobile application. After the launching and receiving traction, the Kerbo team went on for the following rounds of investment to enhance the app and charger network.
